Benjamin C. Wickert

Ben Wickert joined Caddell & Chapman in September of 2015 after nearly six years at Joyce + McFarland, LLP, a Houston commercial litigation boutique. After graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School, Ben started his legal career in 2008 at the Texas firm of Winstead PC, where he practiced in the commercial litigation section. Throughout his career, Ben has developed a broad and deep expertise in a wide variety of civil litigation and appellate matters. He has drafted and filed original complaints in state and federal courts, tried cases as first and second chair, and handled nearly every aspect of civil litigation and appeals in between. The part of Ben’s practice that he enjoys the most is the opportunity to help others who need it. This is a principal reason why he joined Caddell & Chapman. A unique aspect of class action cases is that they give access to justice to consumers who might not otherwise be able to afford a lawyer, or for whom pursuing a case individually might not be worth their time or money. Ben is very excited to use his talents to this end.

Ben is active in the Houston community and bar associations, serving as an active member of the Houston Young Lawyers’ Association, and as a volunteer with Houston Interfaith Ministries and St. Anne’s parish.

Ben and his wife Angie reside in the Heights area. In his free time, Ben enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and golf. A native of Columbus, Ohio, he is a die-hard fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and a (long suffering) Cleveland sports fan.
